Kalyan Srinivas Raygalla is a Research Scholar at the School of Communication of GD Goenka University. Currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, Faridabad. Former journalist, Kalyan Srinivas Raygalla, also known as Ray, is a columnist for The Freedom Press among others. A fierce advocate for Human rights and ethics, he is 2 times- TEDx speaker who emphasizes reforms in the education sector with cinema and how it shapes our society as we know it and also throws light on how masculinity is to be looked at through spirituality, society, and personal experiences. He is also associated with the Telangana Social Welfare and Residential Education Institutions Society (TSWREIS), Govt of Telangana, in the capacity of a Trainer who trained 3000+ teachers on Model United Nations, along with training and mentoring the students as well through the process and been a part of all the 245 Mock UN sessions as the Jury Member.
Accredited in multidimensional avenues, he has been awarded the Axaya Media Award for his contributions in Journalism and the International ICON Award by the National Anti-Harrassement Foundation of The Government of India. An invited nominee for REX Karmaveer Global Fellowship and Karmaveer Chakra Award instituted by iCONGO in partnership with the United Nations, he believes in youth and people who are dynamic and open-minded. Today, he owns Raygalla's Mantra, a start-up aimed at soul-grooming, and has authored a book titled, 'Story Between The Truth and Lie', a collection of poems and short stories.
As part of the UN4ALL campaign, he worked as the Charge d'Affaires to United Nations Secretary-General Candidate for the year 2021, Prof Nabhit Kapur. As part of this campaign, Raygalla has interviewed and been a part of conversation panels across the globe.
